Spring is now here and that means instead of pants we will be PT'ing in shorts for ROTC. The shorts we PT in have a webbed netting inside that rubs and chafes me horribly. A friend suggested compression shorts. So I need recommendations- are some better than others or are they all generally the same? My first instinct is to go with Under Armor, but that's generally pretty expensive and as a college student I'm trying to not spend a whole lot. What do you recommend?

I work at sports authority and we sell all that stuff. Under Armor is nice for clothes because you can get the heat gear which is great for hot weather, however it is horribly expensive. But if you go with cheaper ones, then you'll just sweat in it and it'll rub and bam, more chaffing! So I'd go with Nike or Adidas. It's better priced than the under armor. As long as it says moisture wicking on it, then you are fine and it'll do the same thing as the under armor heat gear will do. Adidas would be cheaper than Nike, so thats what I would pick. Just my opinion tho!
