Hello all!
I just picked up a used FN 142 and it's not very clean... Is vinegar good enough to clean it or is there somethin else I can use to disinfect?

Hmm how "not clean" is "not very clean"? Are we talking some caked on urine and such? If so I would use something more intense and then rinse it down really well with water to get any chemicals off. Its really hard to get urine off so you might need a lot of elbow grease

There's the one corner with urine it looks like, the rest is just fur and dust it brushes right off. Maybe I'll just use the hard core cleaner in the problem areas and the rest with vinegar?

It was so much worse than I originally thought!! The urine was caked on all 4 side panels and it was as thick as 2 dimes on top of one another. It took 2 1/2 hours of scrubbing to clean it. I used a strong cleaner, I wanted to make sure everything on that thing was killed. They won't be moving into the new cage until their metal bass pan comes in (I was not going to try and clean off the plastic ones they gave me) and I have to order a replacement part, lost one of the connectors when we took it apart to put in my car :( I'm going to hose it down and wash it with vinegar and water at least 2 more times before they go in and I have it outside in the sun. It did clean up nice though! I didn't know about the vinegar and baking soda, it's good to know!

Thanks for you replies :)
