Today I am 24 years old...

Today I get the call the the sellers accepted our offer...

WE OWN A HOUSE!!!

1600 sq ft, built 2002, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, wood burning fireplace, corner garden spa tub in master bath, kitchen island, enclosed back porch, sprinkler system (Im lazy so this really thrills me) I could go on and on.

I'm still in shock. This would have been impossible in California. Too bad my husband isn't here. Celebrating over the phone isn't as much fun.

Now that we have more space, maybe I can convince him to let me get another hedgie.

Congratulations and happy birthday! Owning a house is such a big deal, and at age 24, that's incredible! You'll have to show us pictures when you're all moved in!

Im so happy you had it accepted on your birthday! Thats so exciting! Happy Birthday!

How exciting! I am so happy for you! Sounds like you can have a whole bedroom for your hedgies...lol.

Congrats Angela! I have to say though how funny it is you have a fireplace! I had a fireplace when I lived in San Antonio and we never used it because we're from Wisconsin--it just never got cold!

I hope you will get pictures taken once you move in and share them with us. Now if you could just a get Kindle I think it would really be the best birthday ever!

Again Happy Birthday and congrats!

We should be done with closing by Feb 27th. I'm going back on Monday for the house inspection and I'll take pictures then.

We've had a few ice storms this winter, but I can see your point, I'm from California and anything under 65 degrees is cold to me. LoL

ooo congrats!!! Sounds like you have a lot of nice perks with the house!

I think it was a steal. They had at least $10,000 in upgrades. And the house was appraised for $15,000 more then the asking price. And we got it for $5,000 less then that. So if my math is correct, I saved roughly $20,000.:dance3:

Good luck with your inspection. I've had 2 houses fall through because of crappy inspections. Sounds like your place is pretty new though, so you should be in good shape. What great birthday news!
