I had a $25 gift certificate from Amazon, so decided to use it on a new pair of bedroom slippers. Went looking and found many great pairs. One funy thing..they had some that had "fake chnchilla lining". They looked cute, and warm. BUT..even though the chin fur lining was fake I just could not bring myself to buy them, my husband thought it was hysterical.

I have a story sort of like that. Don't get me wrong, I understand fur...I don't like it that much, but I understand.

I was in TJ Max a couple years ago. I found this adorable pair of heels that were a gorgeous dark charcoal color and they had "bows" on them. So I picked them up, looked them over and realized they had chinnie fur roses on them. It disturbed me a little because I had spent most of that day playing with chins. I actually threw the jeans and shirts that I was going to buy down right there and had to leave. Then I cried in the car because I was thinking about my Hansie chinnie...

I know, I am a giant dork. I form attachments to animals pretty easily. Even with leather I will buy a synthetic alternative if at all possible. You should have seen the calves today, they were eating all the old hay cubes and trying to crowd each other out to get to them. Why are cows so cute? :) It really is one of the reasons why I won't eat meat...I have cattle in my yard and each one is special in its own way.

Don't make fun of me...

Umm question.... Do you recycle tissue?
Cause if so, you dont get to sit on my couch anymore.... LOL
Big Dork:cry3:

Is having compassion ever a bad thing?:)

I am the same way Marie and Susan... ;) And I have a much easier time having compassion for animals than for people...

Wow, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking!

It's funny because my husband and a friend of mine has said the same thing to me recently. I have MUCH MORE patience for animals than adult humans !

Animals have no agenda, most people do...And animals seem much more appreciative than most (not all, but most) people. :)

Animals are great companions. Another thought I just had...if I'd bought those slippers, I wonder if Trixie would think it was another chin on my feet? She seems oddly fascinated with whatever I am wearing on my feet as it is, I can just imagine if I had fuzzy slippers that looked like chinchilla fur.

I'm sorry, but that is just so wrong. Horses, for example, have an agenda: to terrorize and eat people alive. This is how it starts (attached). Some naughty horses tempt other horses with smoking and drinking... and it all goes downhill from there. Bad, bad horses!!

haha! what the heck is that from??

oh wow I belong to the I like my animals MUCH better than people club too.
I actually have a little brown bat in my bathroom that I rescued from these icy cold nights and am frantically trying to find a wildlife rescue for him. Most people would of just let him freeze to death.

I have a fake chin pillow named Betty. She's from Target. I bought her as a joke because she's fake and people always ask, OH, did you make that out of your chinchilla??

Righto, because one chinchilla could make an 18" square pillow... but it gives me a good laugh.

I'll have to take a picture of her when I unpack my camera.

ETA, betty is an acceptable color and clarity for a chinchilla. I see things like this and I wonder where they got their model....
