One of my chins insists on rolling and bathing in their bedding.
Is this normal? He does it whenever he comes in contact with it!

Lots of my chins go crazy when I put in fresh bedding. They dig in it, chew on it, and yes, roll in it. It's just one of their crazy habits. :))

Yep, my chin does it all the time, regardless of when she had her last dust bath. And when she's not rolling around in it she's eating it.

Yes it is normal. Baba insists on rolling in the litter pan, sleeping under the wheel, using the hammock as a springboard, and of course peeing in the dust bath. Sometimes things just don't get used as intended. lol.

Yes, it's normal. Sometimes Gulliver with try to bathe anywhere there's enough accumulated dust (such as a spot in his cage on the floor where he shook some dust off).

You have to admire their sense of hygiene, even unhygienic as it seems to us sometimes.

Rutherford burrows in his aspen bedding like he is digging for treasure! But yeah, Rutherford is a big fan of eating his bedding, and even swipes my hand away if I try to stop him ahahahahaha.
