I still haven't seen if this has been resolved, but what is the other alternative to a bass pan due to the cut corner being sharp and the substance they put on the joint is there a second alternative? trying to get all my ducks in a row..

I've bought 6 bass pans from BE and never had any of these problems. If you get a pan with these I don't see why you can't hammer down the sharp edges and just scrape off the sealant.

I don't have one of the 2nd level pans, but I have 4 of the solid pans and none of them have any sharp edges. I took a cotton pad and rubbed it around on mine before I gave them to the hedgehogs to ensure that they were not going to cut my quilled kids.

Mine do have a very thin bead of sealant in the corners. I don't know ifa chin could get to it or not, but I haven't worried about it with the hedgehogs. However, if you tell BE that you do not want that sealant they will not put it in.
