bass equipment pan

Hi, I have a fiesty ferret cage and the pull out pan is a shallow plastic pan. I read on here that people buy the metal pans from bass equipment. Are those able to slide under the bottom like the original plastic pan or is it actually placed in the cage?

The metal pans are placed in the cage. The original plastic pan that comes with the FN are also placed in the cage, they don't slide out.

Thank you. I do not have an FN tho. Mine is feisty ferret which is similar but the pans slide out so I've been trying to find a deeper pan with a lip around the edge.
