Bag Balm Problem

I recently started using bag balm on my chinnies dry feet but last night she was particularly fidgety and I got some on her fur . She acted weird after I got the balm on her fur ,she stared scratching the fleece in her cage and rolling around on it . Her fur is a little matted where the balm is ,is this ok or should I try to wipe it off ? I know this seems dumb but I just don't want her to be uncomfortable.

You can try wiping it off with an unscented baby wipe and then dry her thoroughly. After her fur is dry, you can give her a dust bath.
