Another one of those breeding sad stories.
I noticed one of my chins, a white v/c carrier, in labor at about 9am this morning. After about an hour of watching her with no progression, I decided to check her and noticed the very tip of a white tail protruding. Took her out of the cage and tried to help tugging gently with the contractions. It didn't budge. Then worked a pinky up there to see if I could get a hold of the back legs and couldn't so off we rushed to the vet (who is thankfully only 10 minutes away) The vet worked on her for an hour including giving a shot of pitocin. She pulled hard enough to detach the tail and the baby didn't budge. The vet said her pelvic opening is a good size and that the kit was breach and upside down which could be the problem. So now I'm waiting for them to do a C-section and I told them to spay her too. She is such a beautiful white girl. I'm so sad I'll never get to see any kits out of her. (this was her first litter). :tissue:
