Baby Proofing?

Does a 8-9 month old Chin still need baby proofing on a Ferret Nation Cage? Or do you guys think I should just go for a critter nation, unless that would be too dangerous too?

I'm new to chins-and-hedgies and planning to adopt a 8-9 month old male Chin. From the research I've done it seems that most love the ferret nation for the easier decorating.

I just don't want the little guy falling out. (T^T)

You should not have to baby proof a FN cage at all. Mine stopped fitting through the bars at 10-11 weeks old.

I've housed young-ish (3 months?) kits in a FN no problem. So if your chin is 8-9 months, unless it's unusually small, I'd say you'll be fine without babyproofing.

At that age there is no way he could fit out of the bars.
