Baby cuddling with dad??

Is it normal for the baby to cuddle with dad? He lies on his tail and scooches under dad's belly and leans up against him when dad stands still. Dad doesn't seem to mind. Is it because little man is so young?

Chinchillas in general just like to cuddle. I have a male pair (father and son) that are adults and they are always cuddled together.

I had my first baby and I've read to keep dad and baby away from each other but mine cries for the baby. My daddy doesn't get along with any of my other chins (male or female except mom and baby) and I read on here that they wouldn't recognize their babies and would hurt them but I think he knows and he loves it. I'm sure he smells mom too but when mom and baby are out and I let him out, he just wants to be with baby. Kinda sweet! I know that wasnt any help but I just wanted to share that!
