I had been talking to a lady (from CL) about taking in her 1.5 year old female. But then she dissapeared and I hadn't heard from her in awhile. Meanwhile I had read more on this board about how hard it can be to introduce a 3rd female to a bonded pair. So I figured it was for the best.

Well she emailed me this morning. I could still take her but I really don't want to have to keep her in her own cage if she didn't mix well with my other two.

GUILT!!!!! :(

If you're not willing/able to have a completely different cage for her and everything, then don't get her.

Plus, in my experience, introing a 3rd chin to an already bonded pair can cause the pair to begin fighting...so you'll have 3 individual chins and 3 individual cages with 3 of everything. Not a good scenario.

I agree with Stacie, and it may be best not to get a third chin unless you are willing to house this one seperately. You could always contact this c/l lady and graciously back out by simply stating that a third chin may not work out for you after all and you want this chin to go to a forever home. I hope she is picky about finding the right home for her chin...

Thanks!!!

I did it. I told her no. The guilt of knowing I could very well destroy the bond between my 2 sweet girls was way more than the guilt of not taking in the new baby.

Thanks for holding my hand through this!
