Because I painted my finished basement over the weekend (where zucca was in quarantine), I had to move his cage upstairs, about 8 feet from the other boys cage.
Ever since, all 3 of them have been doing the alert/attention or whatever that loud sound they make is. Separately, not at the same time.

I dont think they are chortling or talking to each other more like vying for my attention.

Do you think they are all jealous of each other, especially of richie since i take him out of his cage 3 times a day? are they capable of that feeling?
Stitch has made that sound many times either while sleeping in his tube but most often when richie is out.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced that.

Nope, I have not experienced that but maybe that warning call is due to the paint smell and they are reacting to it. So, when richie is out, maybe they are warning him??? Just a possibility I guess.

Kunya does this every once in a while. He does it and I run to check on him. Usually he wants attention, so I give him a scratch!

its not the paint, cause i used a low odor and even i cant smell it and its in the basement with the door closed, fan & dehumidifer running. its that sound that scares the crap out of you and then you look and they are just sitting there!

Whenever my chin makes her warning call, she's hidden away inside a tube, so I'm not sure why she does it, but at least it is rarely that she does it.

It could be as simple as that they are hearing something they are not used to hearing. Maybe the fan you mentioned? It could be anything. I wouldn't worry about it, mine do it all the time.
