Stephanie: Zoo Poo Gal!
Since the pet store I usually buy my bedding at, ran out of it; I was forced to either buy this new bedding or wait and have Herby sit in a dirty cage for a week or two ( which was not happening ). I could have used fleece, but she does not like having it on her cage floor, but loves to sleep on it on her shelves or hammocks, tubes etc. Goofy chin! :clown:
Anyhow, this new bedding is aspen pellets, not chips and I love it! It has no dust what so ever, and has a pleasant smell to it and does not wreak havoc on my allergies. It also gives my living room a pleasant, woodsy aroma to it.
I was afraid, at first, that Herby would try and eat it, since it looks like her food pellets, but she sniffed it and started digging it but did not try and taste it.
It's also able to be used as compost for your garden/shrubbery/trees after it is used. So, all in all, it's a good product IMO. The only thing I have to complain about is that my pet store does not stock it in the big bags.
I have seen on here where people have said that when changing out bedding, they sometimes have allergies kick up, so I thought this would be a
good alternative for them to consider.
