I'm just wondering if this is typical of all chins, or if mine is just obsessive...! Tinkerbell's playpen is filled with different boxes. Some to jump in to, some upside down with doorways cut into them, and some made into tunnels. I also have a 4 foot pvc pipe for her to tunnel through. I go in, clean her playpen, and arrange all these toys just so to be perfect for her. She goes right behind me and promptly rearranges everthing! She is constantly grabbing on to these big boxes and trying to move them somewhere else! Her playpen is attached to her cage and she will occasionally try to bring her boxes inside her cage. I just find it so funny. It has become a contest between the two of us - who has the stronger will! I arrange, she rearranges, and back and forth we go!

Does this seem to be an obsession with your chins as well?

Kingston has to move his houses, well at least the light weight one. He has two hides and the light one no matter how many times I move it so it doesn't block his litter pan he always puts it right in front. I think he wants an out house so I'm making him one. He also loves to tip all his pellets out of his sifter. I've tied everything to the cage with fleece and now he just scoops it out. You're not alone :D

They love to re-decorate! I find hidey houses moved, tipped over on it's side, food dishes on the other side of the cage...No matter where I put the stuff, they move it. I just figure they're having fun! :D

Mine move anything that can be moved. I have found houses - some are wood and some are glass fish bowls, hay racks, hay, toys, crocks, and food all in places other than the ones I left them in. One of my girls, Bambi, even moves her crock to the inside f her fish bowl. I am not sure how she does it. They're just funny little critters, aren't they?

Mocha and Latte love to pull up the corners of their liners in their cages. I dont know how they do it, with their big heavy house on top, but I find it moved every day, and every day I move it back. Someone's gotta give, and it's not gunna be me, little monsters!

Koko's the big decorator here... anything that can be moved will be moved. We find his wooden house halfway across the cage facing in the completely opposite direction on occasion. What's even better is the time he pulled his pellet dish right in front of his hanging fleece house and was munching while he was all curled up and comfy - talk about breakfast in bed!!

awww thats so sweet!!! what a silly chin lol!!! she is so funny...so much personality!!! mine doesnt really move things around...but she inspects everything...she needs to be aware of everything i do...and she needs to check it out lol...i cant do anything without her getting in the way to figure out exactly what i'm doing lol!!!

Tibbit has to put everything in his hidey house he got from Carise his secret Santa. He got really frustrated trying to put his little bird ladder that was too wide to go through the way he had it. I missed it, but he finally figured he had to turn it sideways and God help me if I try to take it out. Gotta love 'em.

Sounds like she's decorating! How cute! And, maybe going through that teenage spell!
You guys are funny-the back and forth. But, i still bet "she" gets it her way!!!haha

Rosey and Poppy both like to sweep. They pick up a lava triangle then use it as a 'broom' to push their aspen bedding around. They pile all the bedding to the left hand side of their cage in a big mound, leaving the metal tray bare on the right hand side! Now guess where they like to pee??!!

Jasmine doesn't mess with her bedding like the other two, but she does enjoy carrying small toys like wood cubes to the top of her cage....and then dropping them down onto the lower shelves! Up and down, up and down all night! I think it's the noise she enjoys, as she also likes ringing her bell!!

nope not just you...All chins re- organize their things in their own way...I personally find it funny as heck to watch

do you suppose our chins get angry with us for moving everything back?! :) Mine will start to rearrange moments after I have put things back in place! I think she is trying to tell me that I've done it wrong!
