I'd say yes...no...yes. That is if you feel okay using wood from China. I think there has been some controversy as their regulations for spraying/pesticides are different than here.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong. :)

The 2nd product contains sugar. If you want your chin to have an occasional treat the best are:

rosehips
regular mini sized shredded wheat
plain cheerios

You would be better off getting wood from members that sell it here on the forum. I in the past have bought 1 and 3 and it was a waste of money, the chins would not touch the wood.

wood from forum members much better as Dawn (ticklechin) mentioned. I know when I first got my chin I got lots of things from Petsmart. Then I joined the forum and learned what's better for my chin. I haven't been to petsmart in 3 years because of it. Treats that are great and cheap for chins--plain shredded wheat, cheerios, dried rose hips, a small pinch of old fashioned cooking oats and wheat pasta

yep, def better buying wood from forum members and getting simple treats like Laurie mentioned and they like them so much more. You'd be amazed how crazy they go for shredded wheat!

I would avoid the second all together, you don't want them having sugar.

yeah, the petsmart stuff, even the non-sugary doesn't seem to be going down well with my chin, he seems much more content with cheaper items to gnaw and tear up. Looks like forum members have good reviews too!

I had those apple sticks... I think someone gave them to me, and my chins wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole, they much prefer some yummy apple wood from the members on this forum. I ended up giving them to a coworker who has a guinea pig, she said her guinea pig wouldn't touch them either so she tossed them in the trash

In my experience, the woods that you purchased from the pet stores are not as fresh & crunchy as the ones that are sold by the members from this forum. The twigs sold from the pet stores are probably twigs that have fallen off the trees & have been on the ground for awhile before being collected & dried, that's why they're not as fresh & crunchy.
The only 1 that my chins like is the peach one & I can't remember what brand it was.

seriously recommend some ''real apple twigs'' i'm fortunate enough to have a neighbour with an apple tree....i popped round, got me some twigs and put it through the soak& bake process...smelt like apple pie in the oven, and Starrkey's gone mad for them, well he has had one for 4 hours? nearly finished gnawing all the bark off!
