i'm not sure on the first 3 coconut things, but was considering this one for Rhino, http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753633 but might take the popsicle sticks out and use it as a little hay bag to be destroyed. i'll give my kiddo the sticks for a craft :))

definitely not 4, it has cotton rope fibers, which run the risk of impaction.

5 has rawhide? i wouldn't give Rhino rawhide, but heard once that it's been done.

6 i was considering myself for Rhino, but he ignores his big willow ball, so maybe he's not a ball type of chin, lol.

7 - chins can have seagrass mats, so why not this?

8 - i'd wonder and worry what's used to hold the loofah to the wood, but those are cute, lol.

9 - no idea on these. anyone?

they don't need mineral or salt licks, they get all that if you are feeding a high quality pellet. what food are you feeding?

i personally would get some things from members on here, there are quite a few with online stores and maybe one is even in your area? i've ordered from Camphor and was quite pleased. living where i am, shipping can be a nightmare, so i hit petsmart a fair bit too.

Thanks for your answer, I didn't even notice number five had rawhide in it, difenetly won't get that, I feed oxbow to my chins, I just remember having them for my guinea pigs and I had one in with my one chin but he never really seemed to pay much attention to it, but I figured maybe my other chin would. And for the ninth one I would hope and imagine its pet safe glue since it's for animals and the reviews seemed like it didn't hurt their pets, and I plan on ordering things later on it's just easier to get petstore stuff at the moment even though it's more expensive. Rhino seems to be a very spoiled chinnie and thanks for you help!

I think ChinnyMom covered the toys pretty well. Loofa is safe and pumice is a maybe. I know some people put it in their toys but I generally don't.

Rhino is spoiled rotten for sure, lol! there isn't a shelf in his cage that doesn't have something on it or beside it for chewing or nomming on :))

pumice is safe, and great for wearing down teeth. lava bites (those triangle shaped pumice things) are a big hit with most chins, from what i've read, and Rhino demolished one of them in a couple days, lol.

I keep looking at the pinata, but I don't know what's IN it so I've passed. The palm fibers on the outside are safe though. And pumice is a delightful toy for chins. My boys adore chewing on their pumice ledges and buzz through drilled pumice almost as quickly as they do through palm leaf shreddies.

i read the reviews on the pinata on petsmart's site, and from what i gather, the interior is just stuffed with coconut fibers.

Thanks everyone, but does anyone know if the last one is safe for chins, the person I got my second chin from gave me a pack of those and I just wanna know if they're safe before giving to my chins.

i have yet to read about anyone giving 'broom grass' to chins, so just to be on the safe side i wouldn't give them those.
