Anyway this could be stopped?

I put newspaper on the bottom then bedding over it and Whenever i clean my chins cage they always seem to rip up the newspaper from the bottom.

Is there anyway to stop them from doing this?

Nope. They are just doing what comes natural to them. The only way to stop it would be to remove the newspaper.

I wouldn't use the newspaper..the ink they use could be toxic.

I would also take away the newspaper. Newspaper doesn't hold smell at all and gets pretty nasty pretty quickly. The bedding would do a better job without it.

As for newspaper being toxic, 99% of newspaper nowadays(not the shiny catalog pages, but actual newspaper) is printed with soy based ink. It isn't toxic, though I can't promise how clean the newspaper is. :/

I line the cage with newspaper before the bedding and use cooking baking soda to absorb urine. They rip up the newspaper a few times and then seem to lose interest. I give them plenty of toys to play with and many things to chew on. If they continuously ate at the newspaper I would remove it, otherwise just like a little kid, their attention span lets their toys take priority.
