I used to use one when I only had one chin. I loved the cage. The only thing I didn't like was the bar spacing because I couldn't really reach through the bars to give drive by scritchens. Mine had a plastic pull out pan. I didn't use the floor grate because the bar spacing is the same on that as it is all the way around the cage, so too large for little feeties. My coating held up just fine. I bought it used and it was already 3 years old and housed sugar gliders before I had it. There were a few little rust spots on the outside, but I just painted over them. Nothing too bad for a 3 yr. old cage. I had the one with the one large door, and that was the only thing I hated. I would have much rather had this one , with the two doors.

I have 2 of the ones in the first pictures. One houses my little chinnie girl, Onyx. The other houses my sugargliders. I've had them both for years and I really like them. The one for my suggies still has the bottom grate in it. The one that Onyx is in still has the grate in it, but I covered it completely with wood because the spacing is too large for their little feet. Was quite easy. The top comes completely off with only 4 screws. I wish the doors were slightly bigger, but other than that it's great. I've seen the ones with 1 large door, and I've always thought that I would have liked that one better. But then again, maybe I wouldn't. The one that the suggies are in has a plastic pan, but the one that Onyx is in has a metal pan, but I don't use that one anyway since it's blocked off with wood.

The grass is always greener on the other side. Haha.

lol. Isn't that the truth.

The 2 doors are just a little small. Onyx is one of my larger girls so sometimes it's a little akward trying to fit both of my arms in there to get her and then trying to fit both of my harms AND her out. lol

my only question on them is whether the doors are big enough to get a 15" chin spin in them. the doors seem kinda small to fit through. I've been looking for a more conventional cage for a while for my chin and these are cheap and provide a lot of creativity in building

Thanks, I just happened to find one used for $60 so I'm hoping it' in ok condition since I'll have to drive a ways to get it. Do you think the chins would chew the plastic pan without the grate?

Goldenbelmont, I do not think the doors are large enough for a chinspin but the top comes off so you could get it in, and I do believe the entire thing can be disassembled. I actually tried to buy one at the store near me a while back but they were out and the assembled one I don't think would fit in my car with the stand.

The one with the 1 large door can fit a chin spin in. As for the others, probably not through the door, but the roof is very easy to remove.
