Any shoe-aholics?

So, I need to share this with someone (can't tell my mom for a while). I probably shouldn't have made these purchases but my fellow shoe-aholics will understand! And this was the biggest bargain I've ever made to date (and I'm a REALLY good bargain shopper)
This my happiest v-day/singles awareness day ever!!!

I went out shopping today to find some shoes to go with a turquoise/teal dress I bought - why i bought a turquoise/teal dress i don't know, as it's been very hard to decide what to wear with the darn thing!

Went to the mall just to try on some shoes i'd been eyeing to get the sizes so I could watch the sales and pounce when I thought it was cheap enough. I wasn't too thrilled with the ones i'd been eyeing online and decided to just window shop around the mall.

Off I go to Younkers...
shoe department = heaven.
Clearance rack = more heaven!
Finding two pairs of GORGEOUS shoes on the clearance rack = nirvana

Having the shoes fit and look amazing on me and really wanting to buy both but not sure I can when I was resolute about only buying one pair = downer.

Shoe sales guy taking pity on me and finding me a 20% off coupon = HALLELUJAH!!!

So all in all I bought $178 worth of shoes for.......................drumroll.......................$56.37

Am I the best bargain shopper ever or what!? One of the pairs (the Nina's) came with a nice little cloth bag - I've never bought shoes that came with a cloth bag before! :hearts:

The turquoise/teal ones I was really nervous about matching my turquoise/teal dress - they're a *little* bit darker but still go well with it so they're keepers!

I avoid the shoe departments in every store because if I go in, I'm walking out with shoes. I have 7 pairs of shoes on the shoe rack right now. I wear one or two pairs lol

I have a habit of getting bored with the shoes I buy to or not liking the way they look with my clothes (and a million other reasons) then I just give them to my sister lol

Usually I have my mom there to drag me away from the shoe department cuz I could spend the rest of my life there - wasn't the case today!

I used to have a major problem with buying clothes/shoes that I'd end up not liking later on and after donating bags and bags of pretty much unused clothes I've gotten a lot better. It's also taken me a while to fine tune 'my style' - a summer in europe definitely helped! So now I'm much pickier about what I buy but I actually wear everything...more than once :lol:

I don't like buying clothes for myself. I'd rather shop for others clothes lol

Great job, Alicyn! Fabulous shoes! I love shoes, too, but try to be a careful shopper. Not much for income these days...
I have one pair, though, that I call my big girl shoes. I adore them - and Brent hates them. I thought men liked it when girls wore sexy high heels... geesh...

I like the black shoes. I've been trained well by a shoe-aholic, lol. It doesn't even faze me anymore when she says she can't find the right shoes, even though she has a whole closet full.

I'm still pretty new to the shoe-aholic business so these are only my 4 and 5th pairs of heels, the other ones are pretty business-y for interviews and such. These are my new 'fun' heels! I don't think i'll ever have a closet full as I'm too much of a frugalista - but if i hit that many good bargains who knows!

I have a friend who is a shoe aholic and she has SO many shoes her boyfriend "makes" her wean them out and I get the weaned pairs. LUCKY me I am not a shoe shopper sooo she get to enhance my shoe collection and then she gets to go out and buy the "perfect" pair, LOL
