Anti-Social?

Hi, I just got a new chin, but whenever i walk into the room, she will stop what she is doing and go into her hut and just stares at me. Is she scared of me? Is there anything i can do to reassure her? When i leave or when she cant see me, she continues to play....

Sounds like she's a very shy girl and needs time to get used to you. Try spending time in the room so she can just watch you. You can also talk quietly to her so she gets used to the sound of your voice. For now this is all I would do unless she seemed interested in me when it was time to change food and water. Once she's used to you in the room than I'd try sticking my hand in her cage so she could smell me. Eventually she should be curious enough to get to know you and come out of the cage.

That's how Rutherford behaved when I first brought him home with me. After about three weeks, he's very comfortable moving around and playing inside his cage while I'm sitting at my desk or sleeping. Nowadays, he'd actually run up to the door of his cage when he sees me walking through the door to my bedroom... super cute! She'll get used to you very soon
