Anita Blake fans

I, myself, am not a fan of Laurell K Hamilton, however I've just learned that IFC entertainment is going to do a tv based show Anita Blake: vampire hunter. Don't have many more details than that for you fans, but thought I would pass it along.

The only way that show is going to be good is they either make it rated R or MA, or they stop making them when the books get racy.

I love LKH books.

ETA: I believe IFC is Independent Film Channel.

I read her books, and I think a lot would have to be left out for a tv show... unless it was liek x-rated tv or something lol. I think the left-out stuff really does add to the books, and it's not just in there just to have sex in the books.

If I could ever find the show on TV (I'm the worst about, "hey when does that air???") I'd probably watch it, but I bet it wouldn't be that great, or wouldn't last that long. I read all the Animorphs books. LOVED the series. Anyone remember how it became a tv show...for like 5 episodes...and sucked?

While a lot of the sex would have to be left out/skipped over, there's still a good deal that would have to be in it too, otherwise there's many things that would have to be left out, otherwise they wouldn't make sense, such as when Asher and Anita become 'closer' due to their um... tryst with Jean Claude.

I think the first several books would do fine as a TV Show. However, I cannot see the later books as a T.V. show. I am no prude, but I just can't see a lot of pointless sex. Sex is fine, but its all pointless, with no meaning at all.

Can you imagine Blood Noir as a T.V. show? The first several episodes would be nothing but pure sex.... (I think the first 4-5 chapers was all her and jason having sex?)
