Yea i honestly dont know what good she is going to do she has no musical background whatsoever. I mean have you heard her sing, ughh!! They dont need 4 judges anyways!!
I'm guessing we're going to witness the crashing and dying of AI this year. They should have worked out whatever differences there were Paula's contract, gotten rid of Degordo, and gone back to business as usual.
I love Ellen. She's awesome as a comedian. But after seeing her on SYTYCD, she is going to get REALLY old on AI. She just kept making the same tired jokes over and over. It was really obvious that she didn't have a clue what was going on and was trying to cover it up by getting laughs.

She's going to turn it completely into a comedy & all about herself. I guarantee she will very rarely have anything constructive to say and will turn everything into a joke.
I was very ticked when I heard the news. I wish they would just keep it at 3 judges, so maybe this year they wouldn't always go over time....

Yeah that really suprised me that she's the new judge. Shouldn't it be someone with a musical background?!? I am sure they could have made a better choice! Sorry, Ellen

Cher would have been a great choice! Yes, CHER! She can sing, dance and act! Take that Kara! I'm wondering if they were worried about ratings with Paula gone. Paula truly was an integral part of the show--and even though sometimes it did not appear that way, Simon loved her. So I'm wondering if they were worried and thought bringing Ellen in the mix would help. I think it's going to backfire!

Didn't see this thread earlier, but I'm dreading the two women. Ellen had me cringing on SYTYCD and I've been fast forwarding through Kara since she first showed up.
