Does anyone have a dog involved in agility?

I took my dog out to Chandler yesterday for one of the Beagle rescue's adopt-o-thons, and there was an agility course next to the park. I took Nola over to try it out and she didn't even hesitate running up the A-frame or jumping over the hurdles. I'm definitely thinking about getting her involved in the sport.

If anyone knows anything about it and how to get started, could you please inform me? Thanks!

I haven't done agility (my dogs both have joint problems), but I hope to with my next dog (hoping to adopt a border collie in a few years).

If there is a course, there is probably a dog club, see about talking with them. If you can't find anything try the local extension office, they probably have a list of 4H clubs and they might be helpful to finding a club or group!

My Lucy loves it! we have a very informal group class- There is a LOT of laughing at what clowns the dogs can be some nights. They all know why they are there and what they are supposed to do, but sometimes they make up their own thing, lol. Lucy is such a ham, when the crowd starts clapping or cheering for her, her tail gets higher and her steps get bouncier! If your dog truly enjoys it, it is a great way to build your bond and exercise her at the same time.
