how long is long term?
I think it's important to know that good supplies are not always easy to come by. chins are not snuggly and not for most children. And they need a lot of out of cage play time. they need to be kept COOL (so you may have to leave an AC on 24/7 well into the fall. and they are nocternal. and they need large cages.
I think that covers some (but not all) of the frequent "no one told me that" before I got them issues. Stuff like where to buy supplies and what you'll need is all on this site. but since you're on the fence I think you should know what they are like and what it's like to share your home and life with them. way too many people think they're cute and bring one or more home not knowing what they are gettting into.
