Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself, Im Tiffany, im a mom to 2 daughters and a beautiful beige chin, Angel. She came into my family after we bought a boy chinny, Chilli, who was sick from the beginning and tragically died a week after he came to live with us. Angel was a "healing presence" for our family and we love her soooo much! I am new to chins, but have had cats, dogs, hamsters, mice, and guinea pigs. I know that chins are much more complicated, so i welcome any and all advice! i have already followed your advice and purchased mazuri chin food, blue diamond dust, and the higher quality hay as well as treats you all have recommended as i was lurking over the last week or so. Please please please feel free to offer advice, ill take any hints i can get!

Thanks bunches
Tiffany (RNmama2girls1chin)

Welcome!

As for your questions, chins really aren't that complicated. You already have a good quality feed, hay, and dust (sure it isn't Blue Cloud you are referring to?). That's really all they need daily (well dusting one a few times a week, but everything else daily) other than something to chew on to keep their teeth in check. Apple Wood is usually an instant favorite, but Mulberry, Pear and Pecan come in a close second at my house. If you choose to give treats you can as long as they are healthy ones. Rosehips, a plain cheerio or plain mini wheat, hay cookies (easy ones are just made from ground up hay, pellets, steel cut oats and water), or a few steel cut oats are all acceptable treats that most chins love.

You will learn a lot here. Feel free to ask questions...most of us don't bite. ;)

No more lurking for you! :D

HI and welcome! It sounds like you're off to a great start already! But if you have questions that come up along the way, please ask away.

Welcome!! Since you asked, a word of advice: Looking at super cute chins on this forum for long periods of time daily can make you want more and more chins...try to resist...or not :D.

thanks for all the warm welcomes, and yes i was referring to the blue cloud dust :) i already want more chinnies, but i wanna make sure im competent with Angel girl first :)
