Today I got to meet Courtney and Dori (theCHIBIkitten) from CnH! I think it's always neat to meet people you've talked to and got to know online. After all, that's how I met my fiance, but that's another story....

Dori & I were over at Courtney's as she had offered us a wack load of apple wood from her pruned trees. Unfortunately, my car is insanely small so I was only able to fit two boxes worth, but I'm hoping to go back this weekend to get more.

And Dori brought me the cutest necklace with chinchilla fur inside of it! It has a little glass case with chinnie fur. How neat is that!?

So I just wanted to say that my chins and I thank you Courtney for all the wood, and thanks for the lovely gift Dori!

A huge batch of wood is being boiled as I type :D

that's really cool that you guys get to meet...I've always wanted to meet up with someone from here

Head on up! There's 3 of us up here that I know of

Haha sounds like a good time! I know I always enjoy meeting up with people. We've had a MN/WI get together the past two years and they're so much fun!

Hey there's cool people in Illinois too, lol! Allison, what about a MN/WI & IL get together? Hehe.

It's fun meeting people you met online. I'm part of the bigest Spice Girls (and solo) forum. When they reunited in 2007 we arrenged meeting before the shows and it was great. Also last year, date for date, I was waiting in line with some awsome Melanie C fans I've met on that forum. That's a shame CnH members are too scatered for one big meeting.

I find it strange that most of the Canadians on here are from BC. Toronto (Ontario for that matter) is the most densely populated area of Canada, and yet I've only seen a handful of people on here from ON.

Yeah it is interesting how the members here are distributed in relation to canada and it's heavy populations.

Soooo I got done cooking 2 big pans of small sticks and 2 small pans of the larger sticks and decided to let the chins try some tonight after the first stick, they were literally begging me for more!! Even my most skittish chins were trying to stick their heads through the bars to get at the sticks. I've never had such a huge reaction from them! Maybe it was because they were freshly baked? I dunno but it sure is an awesome feeling to work so hard preparing those sticks and see them DEVOUR them and enjoy them so much.

I wish I could have been at that get together! Then I could see my favorite Bella and all my nephew chinnies! I have enjoyed the WI/MN get togethers and maybe one year I'll sway Deb into being a Packer fan LOL!

It would be awesome to meet people from here! It looks like for the most part there are at least a few people from various area at least from people who have participated in the where are you from thread somewhere in this section.

Like Haley said there are a number of bay area peoples, I can think of about 3 or 4 but may be the same three, so come on up chincerely!

That's true, more member for the West Coast than the East. I don't even recal seeing someone from the Maritimes (and Quebecker are really few in here).

I've met quite a few people...Amanda (alpayton), Peggy (tunes), Deb (justDeb), Alli (alli713), Kristy (starleomach), Becky, Kayla (kframe), Cathy (Kansas City Chins), JAGS,...those just off the top of my head & there are quite a few more. It's really nice to put faces to names!

Off the top of my head in Ontario we have

Nancy - Kingston
Caitlin - Kingston
Lisa - Whitby
HedgieMate - Toronto
Jeannette - Toronto
Catherine&Kuma - Toronto

There are numerous others but I cannot remember their screen names.

It was great to meet you too, Sasha, and I'm really glad that you like the necklace!

My entire apartment smells like baked wood now, haha. I've been cutting, boiling, and baking wood for the last 6 hours. :p

It was great to meet you both, as well! Dori, I love the Kismet mini-me you brought. Kismet isn't sure of it yet, but I like it. Hehe.

Make sure to stop by and grab all the wood you want (hehe, pervy). If there are any other chin owners in Edmonton, feel free to shoot me a message. We have a whole bunch of apple tree wood that's not been touched by pesticides in at least 24 years - since we've lived there. It's free to a good home.

Well I'm definately making a couple more trips over, can't pass up free wood and the chins are ga-ga for it!!! My back kills from preparing the wood but it's worth it to see how happy they are for the few seconds they have the wood, lol. We thanks ya again! :D
