1 Month Pregnant?

One of my chins might have got pregnant about 1 month ago. Right before I bought her from somebody, she said that the chin had been caged with a boy chin while she was in heat. When I got her, I saw a chin in heat for the first time. She was pink, a bit puffy, and wet. She has been like that since then, even now. She is about 10 month old. My other chin girls are not caged with boys and younger, like 4~7 months. My other girls haven't been in heat yet and, and their tummies don't look like this one's. This girl is huge (pink white), and it's hard to tell if she is pregnant or not. Also, it has been only a month.... Can anybody tell me what you think? I might return her to the seller if she is pregnant and get a baby girl instead....

Has she come into heat since then? I'm a little confused. She's open and puffy around the vaginal opening and has been this way since you adopted her a month ago?

There really would be no way for you to tell if the chin is pregnant at one month along. Some vets can palpitate and guess if a female is pregnant or not...but I wouldn't recommend you doing this yourself.

If she's gone into heat since she came to live with you, I would think that she isn't pregnant.

I will take picture of her vaginal area when I get home tonight. She is always wet around there and her fur is messy and wet, too.

It sounds like she has an infection.... But I could be wrong...

Heat in a chinchilla only lasts a few days. If this has been going on for a whole month, it is, most likely, an infection. I would take her to the vet and have her checked.
