Sorry - here's the photo again (I'm new to the whole forum thing). Since I've been using the drops for a few days, I've noticed he opens his eye right up for a while after they've gone in, then starts squinting again. His eye is still in the same position though.

Hello all, Just to clarify - I use actual dust for chinchillas - it is labelled as dust and for chinchillas, and is very fine - just my wording of sand. Also - yes saline that you would put in your eye. Yes, my vet is very experienced with chinchillas - he (and his nurse) even owns a few :-)...

No X-Ray was done, he seemed reluctant to do at this stage - yes the eye drops are antibiotics/ anti inflamitory. Would there be any other symptoms if it was his teeth?
