The Home Depot near me has untreated pine. Is that Chin safe? I am gonna make me some shelves because I already have the tools.

I see a lot of people's Chins turn on each other if they are cagemates. Do females do it more often than males? If they are sisters or brothers is it less likely to happen? I know some people recommend you get 2 Chins, but I don't want to do that if they are just going to turn on each other.

What are some safe things to use when cleaning a chinchilla cage? What is best for wood and metal?

I will soon have a FN 142 cage, no pics, yet. Once I have the cage I will also have 2 Chins!!! Very excited about it all. How do I clean the cage with the little ones in there? Do I need to take them out somehow? They will only be around 3-4 months old...Advise me please.
