I figured the comments about the C&C was directed toward me and that's fine .. I do know the difference between chins and guinea pigs I am not an idiot the cage I am using for MY chins is perfectly safe and sturdy and it works for them and my family I am not suggesting anyone run right out...

we have been keep a close watch on her and so far she is doing good .. she is alot more active than she was .. still eating , drinking and going to town on her dust bath when she is allowed last night she managed to get her eye open herself .. it still looks pretty nasty with some crusty...

like I said my girls have no problem in the cage they have now .. they have not chewed the zip ties the cage is very sturdy even with the jumping around I even have storage space under the cage for the dust house and food extra dust etc ... this setup works great for me of course it might...

I don't trust tap water for us or the animals so my husband got a water bottle system we get bottles delivered once a month the animals seem to really like the cooler water on the hotter days .. spoiled rotten :)

yea the panels I have the openings are I think an inch .. there are some panels that have even smaller openings I use the tiny holed panels when i build guinea pig cages for babies there is no way they can get out lol so far my chins have had no problems with the C&C cage :)

my sewing setup is pretty pet friendly .. I keep all the pins in a pin cushion that I keep right next to me , and my rotary cutter is kept in the shield when I am not using it so things are pretty safe for them .. only thing not safe is my fleece they seem to like to burrow in it and jump around...
