The woman who gave me the Chin suggested raisins to train him. He seems to be eating and drinking and is definately pooping. Do you know if a chins room can be "too cold"?

Can you tell me how cool a room could be? I have my chin on the first floor of my house, it gets pretty cold in the winter. Chucky seems to be cold...but it was my understanding that they could be fine in the cold. But I'm so worried about him. Any advice is appreciated.
