I can't tell if I should let them out yet

Ok. So again, I should just continue to sit near them and talk to them, offer them food and treats from my hand, give the occasional scratch, and generally let them smell me? I will leave them inside the cage unless I have to clean it, then I will put them in a smaller cage until I'm finished...

I can't tell if I should let them out yet

Thank you Thanks Chub Chub, what would you recommend I do to get Scooby more accustomed to me? Have I been doing the right thing with sitting and talking near the cage, feeding tiny pieces of (healthy) treats when I approach the cage, and putting my hand in the cage and letting them eat...

One of my two new male Chins is being quite aggressively towards me...

Thanks liewwan, but how exactly do I show him I love him? Just continue to do the normal, everyday activities and ignore him when he bites me? This is the problem, I don't know how to show him I love him without being attacked. Thank you everyone, and if you have time, can you read my other...

I can't tell if I should let them out yet

Oh ok, good thing I only gave them a little bit. Zorby is six and Scooby is five. I brought them home on the third. The cage is in my room, so I'm talking to them throughout the day when I'm here, I have the cage next to my desk so I'm always near them. So I should just open the cage door and...

I can't tell if I should let them out yet

I really want to let Scooby and Zorby out of their cage to run around in the bathroom a bit, but Scooby is just vicious towards me. I think he sees me as a threat because every time I reach into the cage to put their dust bath in or give them some food, he lunges at me and bites me. He always...

    Hello everyone!

Thanks everyone After my Chins get a little more settled in I'll take some photos - they are standard grey but Scooby is darker than Zorb. In the future I'd love to get a Wilson White, they are adorable with their dark ears!

One of my two new male Chins is being quite aggressively towards me...

Thanks! I guess I was a little over-excited to have them here, so I rushed them. It was when the previous owner mentioned the yelling at him to make him stop that I signed up here to ask, because that sounded completely wrong to me. I've had sugar gliders, and I know if I did that to them...

One of my two new male Chins is being quite aggressively towards me...

Hello, I'm new to the community, so, hello! I recently adopted two male Chins, one of whom was purchased from a breeder and raised from babyhood (his name is Zorbus), and as such is quite nice and sociable and lets me scratch him and hold him. The other was rescued from a neglectful situation...

    Hello everyone!

I joined this lovely board because I just adopted two male Chinchillas, and I have questions about them... My name is Erika and I live in Colorado. I grew up living with a huge menagerie of pets due to my mother being a veterinarian, including ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgies, birds of many...
