i have bought my chinchilla for 1 week, I have seen her chowing her fur sometimes, but mostly just for 1 second, I am not sure she skin itches or she is fur chewing. and I have look at her fur carefully, it look fine.

I think you are right. she think everything near the cage as food or some teeth practice thing. But if she bite everything, will she bite me when I let her out and play with her?
