my kiddos actually bark in their sleep sometimes - they don't even know they're doing it! two of them bark if they don't like what's on tv & keep at it until we change the channel. i love listening to them talk :) if you play that link while they're in the room, watch their faces, they'll react.

just wondering how many bowls people have for pellets in their cages when there's more than one chin? my pair have 2 dishes but they only seem to eat out of one or the other. i'm afraid if i take away a bowl & put all the pellets in a single dish they may fight. advice?

camphor chins has bridges that span either the long wall or the short wall of the FN - they come in different colors & can be shaped into different squiggle shapes

i wonder why your vet didn't just pop the ultrasound probe on his belly to check for gas pockets that way? it's a ton easier (usually cheaper) to do that then get a chin to cooperate for an xray. i'm curious, did they sedate your little man for his xray? i hope not, it's a big stressor for them...

my hubby is allergic to loose timothy hay, it didn't pop up until about 4 months into owning chins. he has to wash his hands immediately after handling loose hay & take benadryl if he touches his face on accident. most of the time he just puts on gloves - or i do it. however, he's not allergic...

my male kept knocking his hidey hut upside down so he could sit in it. no matter how many times i turned it right side up, he'd knock it back over. finally i bought a fleece nap bed with high sides & now the hidey hut stays right side up. the fleece hut is a good idea IMO. have fun decorating!!

i have a 2 yr old female who's always lived alone & we just got her the ferret nation 142 over the weekend & she loves it!! she has both levels open, her face was priceless when she realized how much space she had to run & play compared to her old cage. fuzzies kingdom has good specials going on...

we've got a rotating fan & a window fan running just for the chins - hubby's ecstatic the chins need cool temps as he doesn't do well in the heat either!
