The barn is quite cool and well ventlated. If it gets to hot I can put them in the tack room with an air conditioner. Feed is kept in metal bins.

I have already ruined one vacuum with the dust and am now using a shopvac for most of the mess and then go over the carpet after with my regular vacuum to make it look better. Even then my hose always ends up getting clogged with shavings etc and is such a pain.

I tried fleece and hated it, not only does it stink but every time I would put it in the washing machine I would end up with hay and poop in my machine. Then of course there is the risk of damage being done to the machines by the dust. Went back to using shavings and am much happier.

Mine stays at around 68 to 70. The warmest it has been is around 72 when I had to use a heat lamp for a bird who was not feeling well. The chins were just fine.

Those live traps have been a life saver for me. I picked one up at a Harbor Freight for less than $10. I just block off all avenues of escape and eventually the chin on the lamb goes into it. The traps are perfectly safe and the metal isn't heavy enough to hurt the chin.

I tried fleece for a while but was concerned about what the dust from their baths would do to my machines. Had something happened to them I probably would not have been allowed to have fancy frontloaders anymore and would have ended up with a mismatched set of toploaders off of Craigslist.

If you want to use paper I would recommend buying a box of paper used for packing, can't think of name right now as I just woke up.
