I'm not convinced mine can tell time personally. But I think you gotta do what you gotta do. I mean what are the chins going to do? Probably beg a little and then get used to it. ;)

Also, I wouldn't give her a wheel until you feel she is pretty much well grown and limit out of cage roaming time as this uses up lots of calories that should be put toward growing.

1/2" 1/2" has worked best for me. Any wider either dimension opens you up to caught feet. I put tiles in there for them to rest on and they tend to stay on those most of the time.
