    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

Yeah, It's only a 5 day amount. If I don't see any drool tomorrow, should I just not give him anymore since it's so strong? Next time I will request metacam.

    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

Okay. It is a very small dose 0.10 milliliter twice a day. After I got home from picking it up, I checked around his mouth and looked like he wasnt drooling much, if any. I gave him one dose. Tomorrow if I see no drool, should I just not give it to him? Next time should I request metacam?

    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

Going to pick up some buprenex today, thought it might of been metacam since that seems really popular, but luckily he'll be getting some help with his pain. He doesn't seem to be drooling as much, but still is a little. So hopefully this will help him out a bit.

    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

Do all animals use the same metacam? I looked it up quick and only saw talk about cats/dogs. I'm sure my vet would know but just wanted to check before I call tomorrow.

    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

I definitely plan on getting pain meds brought home from now on after each procedure. He got some at the vet and always has but I will ask for more to be brought home the next time. He seems to be doing better today but if he is still drooling tomorrow I will probably call tomorrow.

    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

I looked up other posts about drool and seems it is a sign of pain. I figured he would be in a little bit because of the filing. And also saw that others that got this done got pain medicine for their chins. He got some at the vet but I didnt take any home, nor did I the other times he had this...

    Possible drool after teeth filing....?

Eeyore just got his teeth filed yesterday morning, this is about the third time he's got it done and has done very well each time. He's taking his critical care really well today, as he did yesterday too. Is it a bad sign if he is drooling a little, or can that just be because he's a little sore...

    Advice on warmer state

Thanks. I might look at small houses for myself. I was looking at townhomes, some have central air and most don't have a basement. I guess I'm just nervous if I get somewhere that doesn't have a basement, which are easier to find, and it does have central air, what would happen if we lost power...

Any Chin vets in Wilmington, NC?

I found a great one in Raleigh which is a bit of a hike from Wilmington....anyone live in the area and can recommend a vet and also an after hours emergency vet? When I move to the area I will need one since one of my chins has to get his teeth filed down about twice a year. If not, I guess...

    North Carolina....Raleigh, Jacksonville, Wilmington?

Thank you. It's good to know a good one is around, even if they are a bit high.....and the E-Vet in the area seems to treat exotics as well. Do you or anyone know about any chin vets in Wilmington?

    Advice on warmer state

It won't be for a couple years, but i'm going to be moving to North Carolina from New York. I'm just worried as it's warmer year round in NC as NY get pretty darn cold during the winter and during that time I obviously don't need to worry about it being too warm, but when summer comes I always...

    North Carolina....Raleigh, Jacksonville, Wilmington?

Hi, I have a great vet hear near Albany, NY. One of my chins has teeth issues and needs his teeth filed about twice a year. I'm looking into moving to North Carolina in a couple years.....in or around one of the areas of Raleigh, Jacksonville or Wilmington, or possibly Fayetteville. Does anyone...

Is this a chinchilla?...roaming Universal theme park

Good to know. I haven't seen any baby chins, except maybe a picture or two on here a long time ago, wasn't sure how different they could be when young. Good to know there aren't any chins running around there. Thanks.

Is this a chinchilla?...roaming Universal theme park

As I was on a Disney board, I was reading some completed trip reports when I came across one that had this picture. He said it was right in the open on a pathway, he moved it to the side afraid someone would step on him, also didn't know what kind of animal it was. If it is a Chin, I can't...

Is it normal to not care for a treat after awhile?

Thanks everyone! I will give those treats a try. For old fashioned oats, can you get them in most supermarkets? any certain brand better then the other?

Is it normal to not care for a treat after awhile?

Eeyore doesn't seem to care about shredded wheat anymore, that and occasionally cheerios are the treats I would give them. He does like a cheerio if I break it. But it seems so weird he doesn't care for shredded wheat anymore. He just came from a vet visit to check out his teeth from previous...
