    Wasn't pooping much...took to vet

That's what I thougt too, I was confused as to why he wanted me to give her that when we didn't even know if there was an infection of some sort. He said if things aren't better by Monday we should do an X-ray, would that be a good idea?

    Wasn't pooping much...took to vet

She pooped a lot over night so I guess that's a good sign...she is also acting completely normal and being her usual crazy self. Is it possible that the reglan and gas drops would have solved the "issue"? I didn't give her the antibiotic though because I didn't think it was necessary. Also Is...

    Wasn't pooping much...took to vet

Hey everyone! So my chinchilla Daisy hasn't been pooping as much and they have been smaller then usual. She has been acting fine but to be safe I took her to the vet today. They gave her a shot of Reglan and trimethoprim sulfa susp 0.50 cc twice a day. I also have been giving her gas drops...

    Rehoming suggestions :(

I agree with what Cass C said. From what I have heard people are typically not allergic to the Chins themselves but to the dust or hay. I know I have seen a dust that is specifically made for people with allergies but I can't remember who sells it. And maybe using hay cubes would help as well.

    Tiny rip on paw

Thank you so much for getting back to me! I definitely will be keeping a close eye on it the next few days. I'm hoping it just improves on its own! It seems the same today but I'm assuming it won't improve that quickly.

    Tiny rip on paw

Hi everyone! Not sure if this is considered an "emergency" or not. My chin has a tiny tear on her front paw (the bottom). It's not bleeding yet but she keeps biting at it. I put a bunch of new twigs/sticks in her cage to hopefully distract her from it. Is there anything I should be doing...

Looking for a mosaic or ebony female in PA

I am looking to adopt a female mosaic or ebony. She will be kept as a pet and slowly introduced to my standard chin, Daisy. However if they don't get along I will have two seperate cages. I live about an hour from Philadelphia.

Should I get her a buddy?

My chin Daisy is 10 months old and a few months ago her brother turbo died after a failed neuter surgery. I have noticed at night that Daisy will cry a lot and she seems very lonely. I bought her a chin buddy but she doesn't seem to like it that much. I really want to get her a friend (I know...

    Tile?

I recently tiled my chinchillas cage and I am so happy I did! She is also potty trained but even if she wasn't the tile would be so easy to clean. I went to Home Depot and picked out some ceramic tiles (I measured the cage before I went) and then when I got home I put them all in and marked...

    Poop question

I have noticed recently that my chin has bigger poops during playtime but in her cage they seem a little smaller. She is eating drinking and peeing normal. She is on oxbow pellets and a couple weeks ago I switched her from oxbow hay to American pet diner hay. I was just curious if this is...

    Feisty ferret cage owners!

There is a base pan on the bottom level that I could cover but i still have the upper level (I kept the middle grate in). I got some tile at Home Depot so once I have them all fitting right I will post pics! Thanks for the advice!

    Feisty ferret cage owners!

What size would I need for it to fit snug? and what type of tiles should I use?

    Feisty ferret cage owners!

So I need some advice on what I should do for flooring. I had linoleum in there but when I got home work I saw she had chewed a little piece of it (she has had this type of floor for 7 months now and this is the first time). I then went and bought fabric to cover the linoleum, that way she...
