I have several of those cages. I pull my kits when they go over 200 grams and I have never had a problem with one pushing through the wires.

I had a new kit born two weeks ago and it has normal fur from the shoulders up but from there down the fur is really short, almost like it was shaved. And the upper fur is dark gray and the shorter fur is a very light gray. And after two weeks it looks the same. Has anyone else had this happen?

Has anyone ever used this? Is it safe? Does it do any good?

Dad is a violet. It was a pair that I got early on in breeding, and I haven't had the heart to separate them. They produce big beautiful kits, usually only 1-2 at a time.

These two were born 4-2-10. Both are females. Mom is an extra dark ebony, and dad is a brown velvet.

Can anyone enlighten me on ear tags? I understand that you must have them to show a chin but where do you get them? Do they hurt the chins? Can they get infected? Any info will be greatly appreciated!

For those of you who have been breeding for a while, what age do you find that your females slow down on producing, or stop altogether? Do you find that to be the same with the males, or can they breed forever?
