So...my little guy is getting used to his new home and in doing such, exploring his playroom.. on each end of his playroom are doorways leading out of the room, with no doors on them. I had to put up 4 ft cardboard boxes with very strong packing tape to keep him in the room. Well, he figured out...
I have a totally chin safe room for my little guy which is the same room his cage is in however it has a doorway on both sides of the room which I blocked off with some large cardboard boxes however my little guy can now jump upwards of 4 feet and he's made a jailbreak 3 times this...
Not sure where to post this, but I was wondering if I could see pics if you have some play things outside of the cage for your little fur babies to play on/in during out of cage time...I'm looking for ideas to construct something that give my little guy something to do other than run in circles...

:hair: My boy loves his apple wood twigs, but he refuses to chew any that are slightly on the bigger side. He will only eat the thinnest twigs!!!! Gaaaaahhh! Picky punk!!!! I'm gonna save them for when he's a little bigger. I think they're too big for his tiny baby paws to hold...
I was reading old, old threads and ran across a few people who said that if you rub a chins ear(s) between your fingers gently, that it will calm them....
Anybody do this?????? Does it work???? If so, wish I'd known earlier :tantrum:
I've noticed a few of us on here are brand new first time chinnie parents...Just out of curiosity, I have a few questions:
1. How old is your chin and did you get a single or a couple/few?
2. Did you get from a breeder or rescue?
3. Do you have other animals?
4. Are you finding it harder...
Jasper was out having his play time and somehow managed to get up enough speed to jump right into the garbage can! He didn't panic or anything. He was trying to get a look around but couldn't. All that was in there is old pine shavings from when I clean the cage. He did look bewildered for a...
My Jasper seems to sleep in a different place every night. I did notice a couple weeks ago that he slept in his hidey house 2 nights in a row, but that's the first and last time that happened. Who notices this as well? Wondering if it's a sign that he hasn't found "his spot" yet and maybe never...
I went into my lab coat pocket this morning to get out a pen to fill out some paper work and whaddya know.... I pulled out a chinny turd!!!!! :hilarious:
My new little guy was exceptionally friendly last night...sitting on my shoulder, grooming my hair and eyelashes. I had my torso inside his cage for this and then I started to walk around the room. He held still for a good 5 minutes and I was singing to him. We walked back over to the cage and...
This You Tube video warms the cockles of my heart! LOL I'm gonna try this technique instead of the little circular scritches. :)

Ok...I have a confession. I gave my lil guy some rosehips and probiotic cookies (not on the same day) Since I've had him and he's almost 3 months old. I know I'm not supposed to, but it's helping tremendously with training. Let the bashing begin :(
Ok...I feel better now.
One more...
So I read all the boards and found nothing to address my question, so here goes.... My new chin Jasper is going to be 4 months old on the 23rd and we've had him just shy of 3 weeks. Bonding between he and I is going very well. His cage is in our dining room in a house where just myself and my...
:dance3: :dance3: I'm happy to report that sweet baby Jasper (He'll be 3 months old on the 23rd) has been in his new home almost 3 weeks (I have been working with him daily, patiently and slowly) and this morning he greeted me at the doors of his cage with his paws extended upwards holding onto...
