    Squeaky wheel

My chin has a metal wheel, it squeaks like the dickens! Any suggestions on how to stop the squeaking? It comes from the metal posts that the wheel part fits onto when it rubs together. I would use WD40 if it was safe, it is like 90% fish oil. But any ideas would be great I'm going crazy with all...

    Chin sounds

Hi again all So I have had my chin since August and she is normally pretty quite, and will rarely bark. The last 2 nights at about the same time she has been making quite the conversation, and I'm not sure why, she sounds sort of like a sneeze mixed with a guinea pig squeak. Any thoughts? The...

    Safe Wood

Hello all, I was wondering is Elm is safe to use for homemade shelving for Chins. I am unable to get ahold of any fruit tree wood in my area, but I have Elm by the acre! I read in some places it is safe, and other places that talk about safe woods for Chins do not mention Elm at all. I have not...

    Bedding Question

I do not have a mesh or wire bottom to my cage, sometimes I wish I did to more easily clean up her droppings. I ONLY have bedding in her litter pan, otherwise she does not use it, she will go where she pleases. The bottom of my cage is what looks exactly like the plastic drop/pull out pans with...

    litter pan?

I have a plastic one for my chin. She however will not eat hard plastic, so I was not worried. Mine came with little clamps to hold it in place and it was pretty cheap, only thing is the plastic may hold her urine odors more than metal would.

dumbest thing your chin has ever done

Oh gosh, where to start, ive only had my chin since august and it seems like every other day she is doing something that makes me want to facepalm:facepalm:! Whenever she gets spooked she in convinced that running as fast as she can on her wheel will save her, but I have a feeling many chins do...

    Bedding

Everything Ive read and every person I have talked to at the small animal pet shop say its fine, the carefresh bedding. My chin also is really good about not eating things she shouldn't like hard plastic (she does love plastic bags though :P), so I usually am not too concerned with her eating...

    Bedding

Hi I currently have my chin litter box trained and am using care fresh bedding. As of right now I seem to be changing the bedding in her litter box almost daily because of the smell of pee. I am also washing and cleaning the pan almost twice a week, which I know can be harmful to my chin but the...

    Bedding

Hello Currently I use care fresh bedding. I have my chin litter box trained and so the only place I have bedding is her litter box. I am finding that I need to not only change her bedding but also CLEAN her litter box, like the whole shabang type clean, because of the smell! I do have a small...

    Food question

Thanks for the feedback on food brands But can I just up and switch her food ? Won't that make her sick? Everywhere I've read says that once they have a type of food they should stay with that or they get sick. And Unfortunetly I cannot find a brand that has been mentioned in here as good in...

Shelves Hello I am very interested in purchasing your shelves if they are available. How do they attach? And how would I be able to get them from you if I am not in your area?

    Playpen and Shelves

Hello I am looking for a good sized playpen for my 1 chin. I would also like some accessories, like shelves. I do not need them to be sold together but I would need them to be a relatively low price.

training to run in a wheel

Wheel question I am not super knowledgeable in chins but I have had a total of 3 in a short period of time, and all of them immediately took to the wheel I have for them. Mine is a metal wheel with a chicken-wire type body to it so that her tail wont get stuck, the squares are about 5mmx5mm...
