Well it sounds like i will have to stop giving them to him. He loves them so much. Oh well. I will find a good healthy replacement. He was getting them only when it was time to go up. I have been using them as a training tool. If i shake the apple treat container and say "its time to go up" he...
I'm so glad to hear that you are home and doing better. You have been in my thoughts lately. I finally have access to a computer! I haven't been online forever! Take care and hope to see more updates.
Thankyou!!!!!
Ok, thanks so much for your reply. I doubted my self about thinking that they are his testicles, because of the location on his body. Who woulda thought they would be located around the anus. I guess i have alot to learn. This is my first chin... Can you tell? LOL!
after looking at adult male chins anatomy, i think i was just paranoid. Hes just maturing is all... I think. If im wrong, someone please set me straight? Thanks.
Tonight i noticed two swollen lumps on each side of my six month old male chinchilla's anus. They were not there yesterday, i swear. They don't appear to be inflamed but are fairly large in comparison to the size of his anus. He seems fine also, he didnt make any noised when i touched them...
My Chinnie seems to like the fan, but he used to be in my bed room and i always have a fan on in my room. so i guess he was just used to it. However a fan does come in handy if your AC isn't in he same room as your chin. I am now using a fan to pull cool air into his room. I also double ziploc...

Thanks for the advice. I have pretty much come to that conclusion as well. It looked nothing like the pics and videos i have found of seizing chins. I have instructed my boyfriend to not let him play for more than 20 min and to give him a cheerio after play time, and to make sure he drinks...
soo....
After doing some looking around its sounding like hes having blood sugar issues. Could be epilepsy, or hypoglycemia. Idk... I need to do more research, and possibly call every freakin vet in town. Thanks for all the help everyone. ;)
Im still in need of detailed info on drop in blood...
hmmm...
He is back to his normal bouncy, popping, happy self. I really wish i could get to that convention with him this month. The vets here dont seem to know a lot about Chinchillas. Im worried that the next time this happens i wont be able to nurse him back. Of course i will take him in if...
update... but still worried... this keeps happening!
Well, i keep the room between 68-72 degrees. He is showing the same symptoms as when i took him to the vet the first time this happened, and they told me he was dehydrated. He just gets really sleepy and wobbles a little. But the first sign...
