The hedgie one was great, but the girl and tiger ones were wow. Really wow.

I like your style. What's your medium, look like digital illustration. Do you work with Illustrator, Photoshop?

thank you everyone!

and not an ounce of digital here! these are all traditionally painted with gouache. :]

They are seriously just amazing! Would you ever consider illustrating a children's book for me? I have the best ideas and really want to write them, but can't draw for the life of me!

Yes, you should defianately illiustrate a childrens book (Just be sure to include a lot of hedgies and a chinchilla or two!) ! I love the style of your paintings, very friendly and eye catching.

Haha thats so funny! I cant write for the life of me, but i can paint! You can send your stories my way and I'll read them through! I need to keep painting after I graduate anyway to promote myself some more to publishers so this might be good! :]

Well that is the career i'm aiming for :] I just hope I can get a book deal soon! And I would be jumping for joy if I had to illustrate a hedgie story! Perhaps I should paint more hedgies...:]

wow your paintings are awesome!
i wish i could paint like that :hilarious:

I love the painting! Is there any way you might be coerced into selling a print or original hedgehog work? My walls need some artwork.

gee i didn't think i'd get this much attention, lol. well i might do prints if i can find a place that will do them on nice paper and get the colors right :] i'll definitely let you guys know when i do! and perhaps i can do commissions, but you'd have to contact me via my email :]!

Wow you impressed me more. I sucked big time with gouache in college, it never looked right.

haha aw! gouache is REALLY hard to control! i never took the gouache class here at my school, i just sorta tried it and kept myself on it until i got it to do what i wanted it to. plus it lends itself nicely with color palettes that i want to use :] its really all about the consistency of the paint (how much water you use with it), and how you apply it. i work on just flat shapes so it kinda works to my advantage. but it takes a load of practice, trust me!

Well I had a class in my graphic design program called Colors and Communication where we were forced to use gouache. Even if it was high quality, it was still hard to apply. You do need practice inddeed, but it does give awsome results in the end. As people suggest you, your might try and looking intoo selling prints, like on etsy (I juste bought one from there).

man i wish i could buy that it's great you did a really great job.

If you find a place to do prints, let me know! I would love a copy of the picture you showed in this thread. It's amazing and I love it.
