Hello,
I've been looking at plenty of different heating options for my hedgie, but I still havent figured out which would be better, I have a ceramic heat emitter but I am still looking for the thermostat to go with it, also when i use the ceramic heat emitter what would be the best place to position it in on/in the cage?? Also i've been looking at small animal heating pads, like this one

http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2754324

Would it work??
If it helps i have a plastic bottom/wire top cage, like the one for a rabbit, only much larger..
Thanks,
Tessa

A heating pad should only be used for supplemental heating like for the bed. It will not keep the whole cage warm which is what you need for your little one. A ceramic or space heater would be best to keep the ambient temperature of the cage up. As for the heating pad, I have used human ones. So I have no experience with the one in the link.
