Hello all,

I went away for a week and had my roommate take care of my chin. When I returned the front of his fur was damp and matted. My roommate claims he had no idea how it happened.

I used a cold blower to dry him as best I could but I'm not sure how to get the matts out. I've been using a fine comb to get the worst matts to fur slip. But it's hard to get the smaller ones over such a large area.

He came to me from an bad home and so he doesn't like to be handled. Can he work the smaller ones out? Do I take him to the vet? Any advice would be useful. Thank you!

Give him more dust bathes. Dust bathes do wonders for nappy chins.

Could it be drool? That caused the dampness? Is their a dog in the house or was there a dog in the house that might have licked him.

Again dust bath will help.
