So, i'm sure most of you know that Oxbow has recently changed their Chinchilla pellets packaging. The ingredients changed a little. They've added Calcium Carbonate (8th ingredient), Sodium Bentonite (10th ingredient) & Copper Proteinate (26th ingredient) and removed Ferrous Sulfate and Selenium Yeast. The order of a few of the ingredients have changed. Its all gibberish to me, but others may know what all those ingredients are haha. My questions are:
  1. Should the new Oxbow be introduced like a new food?
  2. Is this still one of the best options for food?
The addition of the Calcium Carbonate concerns me. I know there were a few people on the forum who were saying Oxbow had too much Calcium and could cause bladder stones and now they are adding more Calcium to the food. I know others said Oxbow, like most pellets, had Calcium due to the Alfalfa base and that it would not cause stones. Im wondering if, now that they've added Calcium, could this cause stones?
