We adopted our hedgie from someone we don't think took care of her well, we are first time owners and wish I had done my research before adopting however we have her and we are trying our best to do the best for her, she is very grouchy and mean. Anyways we noticed she is bleeding from her what seems to look like private area or possibly her tail ? She doesn't like to be held that well so its hard to get a look at it becuase she closes up and hisses and quills are up ? We don't know what it is if its concerning or what we should do ? Its not a lot but enough to be concerned on our part ? Please help us and tell us what would cause this

Yes, when you have a hedgie bleeding from that area, it's quite proper to be concerned.

Potential causes are quite wide ranging as are the implications for her long-term health.

A vet visit is in order.
