What color are these babies?

Heh, I'm a total noob but this is the litter I will be choosing a baby from. Can anyone let me know what colors you see? I know you won't be able to tell me exactly but if you could let me know what group they fall into that would be great. I will be talking to the breeder tomorrow when I go to see them for the first time but I can't wait that long. xD

Hard to tell. Right now most likely chocolates and greys. There is a pinto in that image though. They may change color yet though. Adult coloration cannot be determined until they are 9 weeks, before then they can change a lot.

I believe the babies are 8-9 weeks in the picture because they are ten weeks now. And I caught the one that was pinto! I am so thrilled I id-ed it right cause I wasn't sure if the way he was turned was just his tummy showing xD Thank you so much!

I have heard that algerians are a different species, is that right? Is there any way to know if the babies are white-bellieds or alergians?

Those we keep as pets are a hybrid of white bellied and Algerian. The terms alergian and white-bellied refer only to coloration/markings now and not to which species they are.

Hey, I have my baby now! He is a little dream and his name is James. I counted seventeen white quills bunched together but other than that he has mostly banded quills. does having this tiny patch of white make him pinto? =O

If the skin underneath is pink, then it is likely a small pinto spot.

Ha! I guess it is a pinto spot. ^^ I'll have to call my breeder and let her know!
