Did my hedgie have babies?

I just adopted a female hedgehog companion for my previous hedgehog. This happened a week ago. I found out that she may or may not be pregnant. I set up a nest for her yesterday and when I went near the cage earlier today I heard a peep noise. I don't want the hedgehog to eat her litter if it is there, but I don't know for sure if there are babies there. What to do?

I have been watching this post - and wonder myself why nobody's posted a reply....anyone? It's been 3 days dragons fire - did your hedgie move - were there babies?

If you think she is pregnant, you should probably separate her from her cage mate (by removing the cage mate). Any updates? You're right that checking for babies may stress her out, but have there been any other signs (noises?)? HAs she been eating? Please check out the breeding section FAQ's part 2 for some tips:

I moved her to her own cage. I checked a couple of days later while she was out getting food, and it looks like she wasn't pregnant at all. There is no blood or anything, so she didn't eat the babies. She definitely never had babies, thank goodness
